SanDisk To Supply JUMPtec With Flash Data Storage Chipsets For POS Systems, ATMs And Vending Machines

SUNNYVALE, CA, May 8, 2000 -- SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) announced today it will supply JUMPtec Industrielle Computertechnik AG, Deggendorf, Germany with flash memory chipsets for its embedded systems. The SanDisk chipsets will be embedded in JUMPtec chipdisks used in POS (point of sale) terminals, banking (ATM) terminals, medical monitors, telecom devices and other products.

JUMPtec, a leading supplier in the embedded computer original equipment manufacturer (OEM) market, will design new products based on SanDisk chipset technology. The JUMPtec chipdisks, which will range in capacity from 8 megabytes (MB) to 160MB, will be distributed worldwide in Integrated Drive Electronic (IDE) compatible mass storage products.

SanDisk's Managing Director of European Sales Heinz Schulte said, "By embedding SanDisk chipsets in JUMPtec's products, we expect JUMPtec will be able to create an entire new line of original products.
