FlashSoft® 4 software is integrated with VMware vSphere 6 through the VMware vSphere APIs for IO filtering (VAIO) framework to provide a caching data service that eliminates I/O blender effects and storage bottlenecks so users can better realize the full potential of VMware infrastructure. Integration through VAIO and VMware Storage Policy Based Management (SPBM) makes FlashSoft easy to install, configure and maintain, while VMware Ready certification gives confidence in software stability and interoperability with vSphere.
FlashSoft software makes the best use of solid-state architecture to deliver unparalleled storage performance improvements. Rather than statically partitioning the cache per VM, FlashSoft dynamically allocates cache space among all accelerated VMs, eliminating the inefficiencies of idle SSD space, and the inconvenience of manually reallocating cache resources when migrating VMs.
FlashSoft 4 software works with any standard SSD attached via SATA, SAS, PCIe, or NVME and supports vSphere 6-compatible datastores including VMFS and NFS.
Unlike flash deployed in storage, FlashSoft software delivers the benefits of flash performance directly to the servers and workloads that require acceleration, without requiring modifications to data storage systems. As more I/O operations run on the solid-state devices installed in servers, traffic on the storage infrastructure is significantly reduced, increasing the value and the useful lifetime of existing storage investments.
FlashSoft software is now available in bundles with SanDisk PCIe, SAS, and SATA.
